| Important Check before Work Start |
|
- Permit to Work:
Permit must be obtained from the concerned authority while taking up job
Hot work permit – Cold work permit – Entry permit – Vehicle entry permit – Electrical work permit – Excavation permit – Application of a work permit.
- Welding work:
- Power distribution should have ELCB.
- Welding M/C to be earthed properly.
- Welders to have all PPEs as per safety rules.
- Job Earthing to be by cable only.
- Proper fire prevention measures will be taken.
- Gas Cutting Work:
- Use trolley for movement of oxygen and acetylene gas cylinders.
- Before starting the job check the cylinder valves and leakage.
- Gas cutter to have cutting goggles and face shield along with all required PPE.
- Check flash back arrester of approved make.
- Grinding work:
- Power cable without joints.
- Damaged and cracked wheels should not be used.
- Grinder to have eye & face protection shield.
- Acetylene gas cylinder to keep away at suitable distance.
